I've chosen a name for the male character, finally.

Nicodemus - From the Greek name Νικοδημος (Nikodemos) which meant "victory of the people" from Greek νικη (nike) "victory" and δημος (demos) "the people".

It kind of matches this character. After all his on the humans side.
